About Us

Will joined the business in 2012 and has been running Holiday at Home day-to-day since 2014, working first with his father Roy and now with his sister Charlotte. He has hands-on experience in every aspect of the business, as well as in extensive refurbishment both for our holiday lets and on behalf of Owners. Will works all hours to ensure guests and owners have a consistently exceptional experience. As the Holiday at Home collection grows, he has overseen every new property launch and in the business’ earlier days the Holly House Farm & 30 Frenchgate development projects.

Charlotte relocated to North Yorkshire from Abu Dhabi in 2019. Having run admissions and parent relations for an international schools group and managed a high-end London venue before that, she has keen ideas about customer service and developing the highest quality brand. Charlotte works closely with the reservations and operations teams to deliver an excellent guest experience, and with Owners to ensure the added value also delivers a successful holiday let. Having a mad labrador and a 2-year-old, ask her about good walks and family-friendly spots nearby.

The company was started by Roy in 2008 with the development of Brompton Lakes, which with his son William he later grew into Holiday at Home Ltd when further properties were added to the collection. Roy’s attention to detail and his vision for providing only the highest quality and most interesting accommodation shows throughout the business. While Roy has stepped back from the day to day side of things, he continues to stay involved so you’ll be sure to see him doing the rounds with his black Labrador Lola.

Charlotte has been part of the marketing team at Holiday at Home since 2015. She has been involved in building the business from 20 luxury lodges to the five-star property portfolio that we currently offer. With a background in marketing in London, Paris and New York and having found a new love for Yorkshire, she can most likely be found photographing one of our latest properties, the swans at Brompton Lakes or at local events for our website and social media. Kate looks after guest bookings and Brompton Lakes reception and is usually the first point of contact for guests. She is well versed in every property as our longest serving team member, having worked with Roy since 2008 before the company was even launched. She always knows what’s going on and as having lived in the area for many years she has a wealth of local knowledge and is happy to make recommendations.

Ryan joined our sales & reception team in 2020, and having spoken to thousands of guests since then he understands what is truly important to them. Ryan oversees our reservations and marketing teams now, and working closely alongside Kate, Alex, Charlotte and Abbie he ensures the guest experience is at the heart of everything Holiday at Home. He may be better at describing the best golf courses or driving routes for car enthusiasts than top spots for families, but he’ll always find a way of bringing it back to being about our top holiday homes…
