Cook up a storm in the large farmhouse kitchen, equipped with everything you could need to rustle up a feast on a group getaway. At its heart is a large range cooker, along with a large double fridge freezer, wine fridge and the all-important Nespresso machine. Plan your day's adventure together with a morning coffee at the central kitchen island with stools to perch on.

The spacious dining area is open plan with the kitchen, and offers a huge table running the length of the room with seating for up to 14 guests. Dining here, guests enjoy panoramic views of the garden and Wensleydale countryside beyond. Perfect for special occasions, this stunning space feels well-suited to both informal dining as a family and lavish meals. The impressive living room takes centre stage at this large luxury holiday home. Bedecked with a large half-moon velvet sofa, nestle between the crackling log-burning stove and enormous floor-to-ceiling windows. This room boasts picturesque Wensleydale views from all angles. It is the perfect spot for post-dinner chats, opening presents on Christmas day or simply basking in the peaceful ambience.

Next door is a cosy snug, with plenty of sumptuous sofa space to choose from and a large Smart TV. Settle down for movie nights or to catch up with your favourite series together. From here step out to the garden in this hot tub holiday home, and the alfresco dining area and fire pit.

There are five opulent bedrooms to choose from. Three are on the ground floor and two upstairs, each with their own en-suite bathrooms

The chic family suite has a super-king bed and oversized headboard. Plush fabrics meet warm blue Farrow & Ball tones, hand-painted furnishings, plus a free standing roll-top bath. We recommend a long soak in the en-suite after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The adjoining private snug is great for couples wanting quiet time, with a TV and sumptuous sofas to sip your favourite tipple together.

The second bedroom has a super-king zip-and-link bed, swathed in super-soft linens and a throw. This bed can be made as a double, or a twin for children or friends. This bedroom has its own private courtyard garden with seating. The en-suite offers a WC and shower.

In the third ground floor super-king bedroom, we love the exposed stone feature wall and bold Farrow & Ball mustard walls. Wood panelling hides the en-suite, with its mosaic floor tiles and free-standing bath. Spruce up in the shower after a country walk, before hunkering down in front of the wood burner next door. We suggest a film and a bottle of red are at the ready.

The staircase leads to two upstairs bedrooms, where luxurious linens, soft bedding and sumptuous pillows ensure a blissful night's sleep. Each has an en-suite shower room. To the left, a king-sized bedroom with a large leather headboard awaits, and through the rolling stable door is the bathroom. To the right is a super-king bedroom which can be split into twins, with natural hues and a great vintage brass hanging rail. Guests will adore the Juliet balcony, throwing open the doors to soak in tranquil surroundings.

Bolt-on the sixth bedroom by booking the neighbouring Bearskin Cottage for large groups.

This outdoor space offers a piece of paradise, with two areas to relax in. For those balmy summer nights enjoy alfresco dining around the teak table, firing up the gas BBQ with fare from the well-known Campbell's food shop in Leyburn. Or, relish in a morning coffee or a spot of star gazing from the rattan furniture around the fire pit.

The all-important heavenly hot tub is surrounded by the impressive scenery of the rolling hillsides and racehorses in the paddock opposite. There is a large open lawn in front of the house, and the secluded location ensures peace and quiet whilst enjoying this hot tub holiday home.

You will arrive to a locally sourced Yorkshire welcome hamper. The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a large range cooker, an American fridge freezer, a dishwasher and a wine fridge. In the hallway is a handy utility room and cloakroom, with a washing machine and dryer.

In the bedrooms are high-quality linen, towels, and hot tub towels, bathrobes and a small selection of toiletries. A travel cot and a high chair are available on prior request for families.

Sprawling lawns surround the house, which are private though not enclosed. There is plenty of parking on the driveway, and please take care around the lake.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at West Grange, for a small additional cost per night.

In the grounds at West Grange, Bearskin Cottage is a one-bedroom holiday cottage with a hot tub, ideally located next door to West Grange. For groups of up to twelve guests book both houses together, and use this cottage for guests wanting more privacy. Or Bearskin Cottage is a perfect romantic escape for your next trip away.
