Suddenly the nights have started to get cooler and days a little shorter but now is the perfect time to get planning a cosy Autumn break in North Yorkshire with Holiday at Home…
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity during the quieter months in North Yorkshire this November. An Autumn break in North Yorkshire is the perfect time to relax, put your feet up and revel in the comfortable surroundings at any of our luxury holiday homes, without feeling guilty about staying indoors on a cold Autumnal day. Get the wood burner going and throw another log on the fire. Add a glass of red wine and a book or magazine for a winning combination. It doesn’t get much better!
Scrumptious spacious bedrooms, stylish interiors, under-floor heating and cosy log burning stoves make it easier to know that colder seasons are on their way.
If you would prefer to get outdoors and explore the most picturesque countryside, there is something extra special about wrapping up warm and exploring the ever-changing colours seen during an Autumn staycation knowing you have the most perfect cosy holiday home to retreat to.
We have a few ideas on where to journey to on an Autumn day to enjoy the reds and oranges of the leaves, and get into the Festive spirit!
We love a stop at The Saddle Room, for food to warm up after a day of exploring. They have a little grown-ups menu also, so it’s ideal for the whole family. For the adults, head to the award-winning The Saddle Cellar for a tasting from over 110 wines.
You will often hear us rave about the food at The Wensleydale Heifer, about 2.5 miles away from The Forbidden Corner. A fantastic traditional white-washed inn at West Witton, North Yorkshire. If you’re on a food tour of Yorkshire then this stop-off is a must.
Bettys tearooms, a perfect stop off for afternoon tea. Our favourite has to be the delightfully decadent chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered with marzipan and hand-piped royal icing.
Holiday at Home has plenty of cosy holiday cottages across North Yorkshire, perfect for long country walks in the mild autumn afternoons, and cosy evenings with a glass of wine in front of the stylish log burning stove. We offer plenty of additional extras which can enhance your experience, making the most memorable and hassle-free stay with us, without even leaving the door of your holiday home.
A great alternative to eating out! Private dining can be the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion, or maybe you just want to take it easy while away on holiday. This is all from the privacy and comfort of your own home. Book one of our three tried and tested professional chefs to prepare, cook and serve your chosen menu. Our luxury self-catering homes are well equipped and our partner chefs know each home well. Enjoy a delicious meal without lifting a finger (and they will even do the washing up for you!)
Relax and rejuvenate after a tough start to the year. Book a facial or body treatment with our experienced therapists, all from the comfort of your luxury cottage or lodge. A treatment is also a great gift for those in need of help to unwind during their stay.
Get in touch with our team on Reception to book. Early booking is recommended as this is one of our most popular exclusives.
Enjoy perfect relaxation and spend your time soaking in one of our private garden hot tubs with glorious views, great on a cooler evening. Watch the stars above listening to the gentle roar of the log burning stove.
Brompton Lakes also offers a Relaxation Area for exclusive use to all of our guests, complete with a Hot Tub, Barrell Sauna and al fresco dining area with BBQ; perfect for a get together with a difference outdoors.
As the seasons shift and the days grow shorter, Halloween is quietly creeping closer, bringing with it spooky adventures and autumnal charm. There’s no better time to enjoy an evening […]
The evenings are drawing in and the leaves are turning a crisp golden colour. We know that the weather is changing but when there is somewhere warm and cosy with amazing interiors to retreat to, we don’t mind that the colder seasons are on the way when booking an autumn break in the UK.
