Overlooking the village green of Scorton in North Yorkshire, The Heifer brings you a blend of rural Yorkshire hospitality with a modern contemporary feel. A delightful place to dine, with fresh home cooked cuisine sourced from all local produce ranging from light snacks and lunches to a full A la Carte evening menu. We strongly recommend the classic steak and chips from the menu!

The Golden Lion, Osmotherley, DL6 3AA
Osmotherley village offers three great local pubs, however the locals’ favourite is The Golden Lion, offering roaring log fires in the Winter months as well as outdoor seating in summer. The pub offers fine dining as well as classic Yorkshire food, all locally produced such as Chicken Kiev and Steak Pie, to enjoy alongside a local ale and a friendly chat. Stay at Paddock View.

The Bay Horse, Hurworth, DL2 2AA

Locally sourced produce is used wherever possible by the chefs to make the most of seasonal produce, with all bread being baked on site with a different selection every day. Make sure that you check the daily specials board!

The Blue Lion, East Witton, DL8 4SN
Surrounded by the splendour of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and nestled in the heart of the iconic Wensleydale, this 18th century Inn is welcoming and full of character. The Blue Lion is a place where you can relax and recharge in homely surroundings. Real local ales are on tap, so stop in for a quick bite to eat at the bar or a fun dinner with friends. The Little Drummer Boy Cocina, Richmond, DL10 4DP
One of our top recommendations for small groups in our holiday cottages in Richmond. Bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to the heart of Richmond. There is both a lunchtime menu for daytime bookings and an evening menu, something for everyone. They have a fantastic range of tapas dishes to choose from as well as charcuterie boards. Go for a drink, or stay for some food and watch the world go by.

The Abbey Inn, Byland, YO61 4BD

Fine Dining

The Wensleydale Heifer, Leyburn, DL8 4LS

There are two alternative dining experiences, each offering guests a different atmosphere, both with the same great service and fantastic food; The restaurant is an elegant, contemporary dining experience, with its leather chairs, log fires and Doug Hyde artwork or alternatively the fish bar is a less formal environment with seagrass flooring, wooden tables and rattan chairs, perfect for a more relaxed dining experience.

The Star Inn, Harome, YO62 5JE
Situated in a picturesque village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, close to the market town of Helmsley, this much loved Michelin starred Inn has been consistently voted the favourite Northern restaurant by industry professionals. The ‘modern Yorkshire’ style of cooking places great emphasis on regional and seasonal ingredients and is firmly rooted in North Yorkshire. Be sure to try the mouth-watering Dark Chocolate and Orange Pudding with Sloe Gin Syrup and Bramble Ripple Ice Cream (if you have any room)!

The Coach House at Middleton Lodge, DL10 6NJ
Set in the stunning grounds of Middleton Lodge, The Coach House is the latest dining venue offering a mouth-watering menu in gorgeous contemporary surroundings. We recommend the toffee chocolate bar, honeycomb ice cream & pistachio crumb pudding – you can walk it off tomorrow! This is a popular dining spot well located close to our self-catering holiday homes.

Where’s The Smoke, Masham, HG4 4DX
Open Thursday to Saturday, this relatively new restaurant showcases the art of artisanal smoke-curing throughout every dish on the menu. Swinton Park, Masham, HG4 4JH
There is a range of dining spaces at the impressive Swinton Park. Tea can be taken in the bar, drawing room or on the lawn in Summer.
