What’s more romantic than views of a stunning waterfall? Three waterfalls! Aysgarth Falls, near Leyburn, provides some simply beautiful backdrops to a romantic stroll. You’ll find a choice of different walks and routes depending on your energy levels. And afterwards, we suggest a 10-minute drive to West Witton village for a meal at The Wensleydale Heifer, the perfect place for a romantic meal.

Richmond Castle, in the heart of Richmond, is a lovely spot for a couples walk. Why not take in the incredible views of the surrounding countryside before exploring the local town? The cobbled streets of Richmond provide a perfect place for a gentle stroll. You may enjoy browsing the many shops and galleries interspersed with plenty of places to stop for coffee and cake or, if it’s later in the day, a romantic evening meal at Rustique, a charming French bistro in the town centre.

If you wish to travel a bit further, Staithes is one of the many charming coastal towns on the Yorkshire coast. Along the little cobbled streets you’ll find gorgeous galleries, independent shops and quirky little places to eat or enjoy a drink.
