Located in the grounds of Sun Hill Farm in Constable Burton is Sun Hill Farmhouse, one of a collection of three dog friendly cottages in the Yorkshire Dales. Near to Leyburn in North Yorkshire, it will be love at first sight when you arrive at this beautiful farmhouse, surrounded by pretty private gardens with superb views and a private hot tub. In the wider grounds is Sun Hill Racing, which is nationally famed for its training of racehorses.

Inside the farmhouse is full of character and is just as impressive as outside, dating back hundreds of years there is a mix of modern interiors and traditional features including exposed beams, original fireplaces and flagstone floors to add to the period appeal.

This impressive property boasts a welcoming open plan kitchen with an appealing four oven aga, breakfast island and comfy seating area with log burning stove and flat screen TV to enjoy. Holiday at Home can even organise a private chef to prepare meals during your stay. The group can play pool in the games room and have a drink at the bar before dinner, perfect for any special occasion.

A formal dining room sits next door to the kitchen as well as a stylish orangery at the back of the property with further seating and patio doors leading out in to the garden, making this the perfect place for a group get together.

At the heart of the home is the generous living area with comfy seating, a large open fire as well as a grand piano for the perfect welcome home after a day exploring the Dales. Upstairs you will find four stylish bedrooms, each with their own en-suite facilities.

Expect a home away from home – albeit an extremely stylish and spacious one which happens to be dog-friendly and in the Yorkshire Dales.

Outside is equally as special with over an acre of stunning private gardens to explore. Each part of the garden has been carefully designed for maximum enjoyment throughout the year with mature shrubs and flowers, and it is enclosed which is a great feature of these dog friendly cottages in the Yorkshire Dales.

There are several seating areas to choose from, with alfresco breakfast table and a BBQ lunch spot with total peace and quiet.

There is also a sheltered patio at the back of the house with a private hot tub which can be used year round. It looks across the garden where you can relax and unwind whilst watching the horses frolic around in the next field.

Friday means a visit to the weekly market. We also love the Forbidden Corner, a unique labyrinth of surprises, and voted the best children’s attraction in Yorkshire.

Book a private chef to come in and cook for your during your stay! Otherwise, a mile down the hill into Constable Burton is a popular bar and restaurant The Wyvill Arms. Within an easy drive of Sun Hill are plenty of places to eat, including pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms to choose from.
